County Clerk Approves Independent's Bid For Wyckoff Council Seat

Thomas Madigan has staved off his first challenge for a seat on the Wyckoff Town Committee.

Bergen County Clerk John Hogan, said in a letter to Madigan’s attorney that, “It is our opinion that Mr. Madigan has satisfied the requirements [of filing a petition for general election] and that his name may be placed on the November 2015 general election ballot,” NorthJersey.com reported.

Yudin challenged Madigan’s petition for placement on the ballot because, she previously said, Madigan signed his own petition and a petition for Mayor Kevin Rooney, who is the other GOP candidate running this year. Rooney and Yudin are not running together.

Madigan allegedly previously told the website there is no reason ”why I can’t support different people for two separate seats.”
