Drug Dealers Arrested After $12K, Marijuana Found In Car: Cops

WAYNE, NJ — Two men were charged with distribution of marijuana after several bags of the drug and $12,000 were found during a recent traffic stop, police said.
Police stopped a 2003 green Honda Odyssey on Wednesday afternoon on Route 23 and spoke with driver Anthony Colon and passenger Darit Santiago-Torres, said Detective Capt. Laurence Martin.
Both men stated they were not sure what town they were in or why they were in Wayne, Martin said.

Police officers smelled marijuana coming from inside the vehicle and found five clear zip-lock bags of suspected marijuana and $12,000, the captain said.
Colon, 41, and Santiago-Torres, 39, both of Philadelphia, were arrested and charged with possession and distribution of marijuana, Martin said. Colon was issued motor vehicle summonses for equipment violations.
