Backstage at the Y - Carolyn Enger

CAROLYN ENGER - BACKSTAGE AT THE Y

Enter the YM-YWHA of North Jersey, One Pike Drive, Wayne, through its Backstage Door, pass the dressing rooms, wander in the wings, say hello to the stagehand, step onto the stage, and finally be seated to become part of an intimate audience treated to wonderful music.  Then, after the show, enjoy refreshments in the Green Room.  The setting alone makes this Series unique, but it is the performing artists who make it special.

Carolyn Enger is a passionate, distinctive pianist whose recitals express her joy of sharing the classics, as well as, contemporary American and Israeli compositions, with her audiences.  On February 13 at 1:00 pm, she presents “"The Art of Lyricism - Music by Schubert, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Ben-Haim and Starer."  This Concert sponsored by Dr. Dov and Linnea Gorshein.  Ms. Enger has appeared in many venues throughout the New York City and New Jersey area including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center, Steinway Hall, Bechstein Piano Centre, Yamaha Artist Services, and The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine.
