Feast On Farm Fresh Food Saturday With Bergen County Nonprofit
Sustainably grown fruits, vegetables and more from a huge local farm will be on the table.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A local nonprofit is giving people a chance to enjoy the fruits of their labor, so to speak.
MEVO, the Mahwah Environmental Volunteers Organization, is hosting a farm feast Saturday at its farm from 4 to 9 p.m.
The dinner will include sustainably-grown fruits, vegetables and honey, along with other selections, prepared by a local chef.

The menu features:
Appetizers: Kale caesar salad, zucchini chips, beet chips and sweet potato chips and dip, heirloom tomatoes and green gazpacho

Entrees: Braised short ribs, tomato pie and fresh cavatelli with roasted tomato and eggplant, chard and pesto, sides of honey-roasted carrots and spiced roasted delicata squash
Desserts: Chocolate and sea salt ground cherries, lemon granita with lemon balm and mint, ground cherry cobbler and blackberry crumb cupcakes
Live bluegrass music will be played and there will be a silent auction.
