Future 25K-Square-Foot Warehouse Breaks Ground In Wayne
The industrial building, set to open next spring, is set to become 1 of 2 warehouses on the 14-acre site.

WAYNE, NJ — Donnelly Construction broke ground on one of two warehouses planned for a 14-acre site on the Newark-Pompton Turnpike. The 25,700-square-foot building is slated for completion this spring.
The building, designed by Gensler, includes 1,800 square feet of office space, 2,080 square feet of mezzanine space, and is positioned to maximize the available footprint on the site based on setbacks, site circulation and parking, according to developers. The structure is designed to accommodate future tenant modifications, including appropriate clear warehouse space height, ample column bays, a three-bay loading dock and a drive-in door.
"We’re excited to offer centrally located warehousing space in northern New Jersey’s successful industrial market," said Chris Donnelly, vice president of Donnelly Construction. "At the cross-section of Interstate 80, 287 and Route 46, this development will support existing e-commerce players and the explosive growth of companies moving into that space."

The new warehouse will also feature:
- 25-foot-high clear ceiling height
- insulated precast concrete exterior walls with high-performance paint coating
- full height storefront exterior and entrance for the planned office space of the building
- parking for 32 vehicles
"As the need for industrial space continues to exceed supply, this warehouse will offer flexibility for tenants seeking newly constructed facilities designed for adaptability in the New Jersey market," said Jack Paruta, Gensler’s project architect.
