Husband, Wife Discovered In Murder-Suicide In NJ: Prosecutor
UPDATE: Two bodies were discovered in a murder-suicide in New Jersey, prosecutors said.
NEW JERSEY – Two bodies were discovered in a murder-suicide this weekend in New Jersey, prosecutors said.
The man and woman were discovered at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday at their home, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office.
The discovery happened when police responded to 263 East 16th Street in Paterson based upon a report of the discovery of two bodies, according to the PCPO.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered 31-year-old Estafani Hernandez and her husband, 49-year-old Alejo Batista, both dead inside their residence.
The initial investigation revealed that the woman was stabbed to death by her husband, Batista, who then took his own life, according to the PCPO.

Although the matter remains an active and ongoing criminal investigation, no suspects are being sought at this time and there is no danger to the public, the PCPO said. More information will be released once it becomes available.
