Jets Promote Wayne Valley Alumnus to Active Roster

Wayne Valley standout signed with the team as a free agent in May.

Chris Pantale,  a former Wayne Valley standout player, was promoted from the team's practice roster Wednesday, NorthJersey.com reported Thursday.
"My family is real proud of me," Pantale told the website. "They've kept faith in me the whole time and I couldn't have done it without my family and my support staff. All the credit goes to them. I'm thankful and I'm blessed."
The 6-foot 5-inch 254-pound Pantale made 98 catches for nearly 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns while playing for Boston College. He signed as a free agent with the Jets after the National Football League's annual draft in May.
Pantale was named to the Associated Press All-State Third Team his senior year at Wayne Valley. He posted a school record 16 sacks and made 26 receptions for 385 yards and six touchdowns that season.
Pantale was named a National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame scholar-athlete by the organization's Passaic County chapter. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Boston College in 2012.
