Kids Paint Kindness Rocks At Wayne Garden Center

The rocks will be hidden in plain sight throughout town.

WAYNE, NJ — Girl Scouts from Packanack Lake and others stopped by the Canete Garden Center Saturday to help spread some joy to others.

The scouts and others painted kindness rocks. Kindness rocks have been popping up around North Jersey communities lately as a simple way of brightening someone's day. The rocks, which typically fit into one's hand and are smooth, are painted and hid for people to find. They are designed to inspire, motivate or put a smile on someone's face.

The event was sponsored by the garden center and Red Carpet Neighbors, a new Wayne business that welcomes new residents to town.
