Man Tried To Lure North Jersey Girl From Her Backyard: Police
The man told the girl he was there to 'deliver a package' and said she should 'come get it' from him, police said.
PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — Police are investigating the possible luring of a North Jersey girl from her backyard Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
Clifton Police reported that a girl was in her backyard just after 3 p.m. when a man approached her from the driveway saying he was there to "deliver a package."
The man said the girl should "come get it" from him, and the girl ran into the house and called police, authorities said.

The girl said the man was a passenger in the van. She described him as Hispanic, in his 40s, about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a thin build and dark, curly, short hair, police said. He was wearing a gray sweater, blue jeans, and glasses.
The girl said the driver of the van was a black man in his 50s wearing a red T-shirt, police said.

The men were in a white commerical van with black graffiti painted on the back driver's side, police said. The first character of the license plate was an "X."
