Maya Lin, Designer Of Vietnam Veterans Memorial, To Speak William Paterson University

Lin will be at William Paterson University Nov. 3 as part of the school's Distinguished Lecturer Series.

WAYNE, NJ — Maya Lin, designer of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., will discuss the intersection of art and architecture at William Paterson University Nov. 3.

Lin is a recipient of the Presidential Medal Of Freedom. Her art has been displayed at the National Gallery of Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Smithsonian Institution.

Lin will discuss the intersection of art and architecture and how she balances them by interpreting the natural world through science, history, politics and culture.

Lin's lecture is part of the university's 39th Distinguished Lecturer Series. Her talk will begin at 7:30 p.m.
