Mobile Coronavirus Testing Comes To Wayne
The Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders mobile coronavirus testing initiative will be at Willowbrook Mall on Thursday.
WAYNE, NJ — A mobile coronavirus testing center will pop up at Willowbrook Mall on Thursday.
The Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders, according to a flyer on the Passaic County website, is offering the free COVID-19 tests throughout the county, with other stops this week in Hawthorne and Ringwood.
Passaic County residents can receive the saliva swab test from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Testing starts at 9 a.m., but that hour is solely dedicated to first responders and healthcare workers.

To receive the test residents must have a valid I.D., and also need to bring a phone or tablet for registration.
As is policy at testing centers across the state, those seeking tests should not eat, drink, smoke or chew gum at least 30 minutes prior to testing. Results are available 48 to 72 hours after the test, according to the county.

The Board of Chosen Freeholders, in partnership with Vault Medical Services of New Jersey and the Rutgers Clinical Genomics Laboratory, announced earlier this month that at-home testing is also available to county residents.
Residents can register for the test on the Passic County website. Once registered, the resident will receive instructions on how to request the test kit. The actual saliva test will be performed over a supervised Zoom call with a Vault healthcare provider.
