New Atlantic Health Pavilion Opens in Pompton Plains

Facility will provide expanded and new service offerings to community

Atlantic Health System’s Chilton Medical Center recently celebrated the grand opening of Atlantic Health Pavilion in Pompton Plains with a ribbon cutting ceremony featuring hospital and community leaders.

Located approximately 1.2 miles from Chilton Medical Center, this building has been part of the hospital’s long standing history in housing a range of services for the community. With the opening of the renovated facility, Atlantic Health Pavilion will provide additional offices for physicians, expanded existing services, as well as the following: occupational medicine, physical rehabilitation services including cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, a cardiovascular imaging center and cardiology care through Atlantic Medical Group’s Cardiology Associates of North Jersey.

“This facility represents the value of our partnership with Atlantic Health System. As part of AHS, we can provide patients in our community with a wider range of services than we ever could before,” said Stephanie Schwartz, President, Chilton Medical Center. " Being part of the AHS family also means that we have a complete network of services to complement what we offer here. This facility is an important part of fulfilling our mission to improve the lives of our patients and create healthier communities.”

Atlantic Health Pavilion will also house various exercise classes under the New Vitality program including, but not limited to, Meditation, T’ai Chi Chih ®, Yoga and Zumba ®. Looking ahead, the facility will also include a kitchen space where members of the community can enjoy healthy cooking classes and events.

The enhancement project is also part of a larger Atlantic Health System initiative to modernize and update many patient care areas of Chilton Medical Center, including the main lobby, Intensive Care Unit and The Children’s Center. Scheduled to open later this year, The Children’s Center will provide families within the region with an innovative approach to emergency and inpatient pediatric care.
