NJ Transit Offers Extra Rail, Bus Service This Week
Extra bus service to major North Jersey malls and shopping centers will begin Friday.

NJ Transit will offer early gateway and extra rail and bus service this week, and on some lines, throughout the next month.

Extra trains will be added to certain New York City-bound trains on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast, Raritan Valley, Morris and Essex, and Port Jervis lines Thursday for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Hudson-Bergen Light Rail will operate on a weekend schedule. Newark Light Rail and River Line will operate on a Sunday schedule.

Beginning Friday and continuing through Dec. 26, NJ Transit will add buses to its morning and midday hours on certain lines to major New Jersey shopping centers, including: Westfield Garden State Plaza, IKEA Paramus, Jersey Gardens, Livingston Mall, Harmon Meadow/Mill Creek in Secaucus, Willowbrook Mall, Wayne Towne Center Mall, and West Belt Mall.
Trains Friday will operate on a modified weekday schedule on all rail lines with additional New York-bound trains between 10 a.m. and noon on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast, and Morris and Essex lines. Hudson-Bergen Light Rail will operate on a weekend schedule. Newark Light Rail will operate on a Saturday schedule.
