Another Snowstorm, Heavy Winds Possible In NJ This Weekend: Here's The Forecast
Officials urged people in the mid-Atlantic to keep an eye on the forecast, which could change in the coming days, according to AccuWeather.
NEW JERSEY — A winter storm will travel up the East Coast this week, potentially bringing snow to New Jersey this weekend. The National Weather Service expressed "increasing" confidence that a storm will hit the Garden State from Friday night to Saturday.
But forecasters remain uncertain on the storm's precise path, which will determine its actual impact in New Jersey.
The storm could bring "significant" wintry precipitation, along with strong winds and coastal flooding to New Jersey, according to the National Weather Service. The area could see heavy snowfall and high winds into Saturday night, the agency says.

AccuWeather says the storm will likely develop and strengthen off the southern Atlantic coast later this week. But the brunt of the winter weather could miss the Garden State.
"Much of this winter, including the past two weeks, there have been multiple dips in the jet stream over the Midwest and Northeast," said Bernie Rayno, AccuWeather's chief on-air meteorologist. "Most of the storms that have developed near the southern Atlantic coast have been pushed out to sea. The late-week pattern looks a little different in that the jet stream dip will orientate in such a way as to help guide the storm northward along the coast and not out to sea."

The National Weather Service will release snowfall maps later this week when confidence on the storm's impact increases.
Officials urged people in the mid-Atlantic to continue checking weather predictions, which could change in the coming days, according to AccuWeather.
