No Trash, Recycling Pickup Tuesday In Wayne As Winter Weather Looms
Residents scheduled for Tuesday pickup will have to wait until their next collection day, with several inches of snow in the forecast.
WAYNE, NJ — The township said garbage and recycling collection is canceled this Tuesday because of a winter storm forecast to bring snow and cause slick roads overnight.
Passaic County is under a Winter Storm Warning from 6 p.m. Monday until 1 p.m. Tuesday, with heavy snow expected in portions of northeastern NJ. Wayne Township said there will be no make-up collection day for garbage and recycling, so residents scheduled for Tuesday pickup will have to wait until their next scheduled collection day. The Recycling Center will also be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 28, township officials said.
