Passaic County Man Charged With DWI, Eats Sandwich After Wrecking Car In Lincoln Tunnel: Cops

Keith J. Gould, 38, crashed into the back of a pickup at about 3 a.m., Port Authority police said.

A Passaic County man was charged with driving while intoxicated after he crashed the car he was driving into the back of a pickup inside the Lincoln Tunnel early Friday morning, authorities said.

Keith J. Gould, 38 of North Haledon, allegedly crashed the 2016 Hyundai he was driving into the back of a heavy-duty pickup in the westbound north tube of the Lincoln Tunnel at about 3 a.m. Friday morning, said Joseph Pentangelo, Port Authority Police spokesman.

Officer Leonardo Lago saw Gould, who was “unsteady on his feet” and his face flushed, outside the car, eating a sandwich, Pentangelo said.

Gould failed a Breathalyzer test and was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving, police said.

The driver of the pickup refused medical attention, Pentangelo said.
