Passaic County Sheriff's Officers Catch Drug Dealer With Outstanding Warrants
Deshaun Nelson, 40, was wanted on warrants for possession within 1,000 feet of a school, authorities said.

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — County sheriff's officers arrested a man on four criminal warrants, including possession of drugs near a school.
Members of the sheriff's Warrants Squads arrested Deshaun Nelson, 40, of Paterson, was arrested after authorities learned he was possibly staying at a senior citizens complex. At about 5:41 p.m., detectives saw Nelson wearing a grey and red hat, tank top, and black shorts; he tried to run away, but detectives surrounded him, said Sheriff Richard Berdnik.
Nelson put his hands up, dropped to the ground, and surrendered to authorities, Berdnik said. He was sent to the Passaic County Jail without bail, the sheriff said.

Nelson was charged with two counts of possession to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, criminal trespass, and resisting arrest, Berdnik said.
