WAYNE, NJ — The town's newest Quick Chek convenience store will open Nov. 7.
The 4,700-square-foot store and eight-pump gas station is at the former Strawberry Blossom property on Route 23 North.
It is the third Wayne store for the 129-year-old Quick Chek Corp. The first, a 6,300-square-foot store and gas station is at the foot of the William Paterson University campus on Pompton Road. It opened in October 2013. Another store is located at 2333 Hamburg Turnpike, near the Pompton Lakes border. That store also has a gas station. Both stores, just like the Route 23 location, are open 24 hours a day.

The store is expected to bring 35 to 50 jobs to Wayne.
The new store will feature touch screen technology that enables customers to create custom-made subs, sandwiches, wraps and salads and personalized hot and cold beverages.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at the store the day it opens.
