2 Incumbents, Challenger Win Wayne Board Of Education Election

Breaking: Stacey Scher and Eileen Albanese, along with challenger Matthew Giordano, were the top vote-getters.

WAYNE, NJ — Two incumbents, Eileen Albanese, Stacey Scher, and challenger Matthew Giordano won the Board of Education election Tuesday night.

Albanese and Scher received the endorsement of the Wayne Education Association, the local teachers' union, as did Brian Quintavella. (See related: Wayne Teachers Union Endorses School Board Candidates)

Incumbent Gail Okun lost her seat and Christian Smith, a former one-term trustee, failed to get re-elected.
