Speed A Likely Factor In Wayne Motorcycle Death, Report Says

Speed was likely a factor in the motorcycle crash Thursday that killed a Wayne man, police said.
Benjamin Boonstra, 25, crashed his motorcycle on a curve Oldham Road just after 8:30 p.m. Thursday, police said. Boonstra was thrown from his Honda CBR and suffered critical injuries. He was treated but died at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
While police believe speed was a factor in the crash, they have not been able to determine exactly how fast Boonstra was traveling, Lt. Daniel J. Daly, commander of the Wayne Police Traffic Bureau, told NJ.com.

There is no evidence that drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash, the report said.
