CLIFTON, NJ — A Clifton teen was arrested for stealing a vehicle and then released, police said. Authorities say he subsequently stole three more vehicles in 10 days.

Charges are pending for additional thefts from Jeffrey Luzon, who was arrested again Dec. 1 after police searched his Clifton home.

An influx of stolen vehicles began mid-November in the Botany Village area of the city. The vehicles were all running and unoccupied when stolen, police said.

Police said they saw one of the stolen vehicles — a 2018 Honda CRV — in transit on Main Avenue and pulled over the driver Nov. 21. Luzon, 19, was charged with possession of stolen property and released.
