Theunis Dey Elementary School was named a 2015 National School of Character by Character.org, the district announced recently.
The website’s School of Character program is a non-competitive “rigorous” recognition process. The program examines how well schools and districts follow the website’s 11 Principles of Character Education.
The school will hold the designation for five years.
