Theunis Dey Elementary School Named National School Of Character

Theunis Dey Elementary School was named a 2015 National School of Character by Character.org, the district announced recently.

The website’s School of Character program is a non-competitive “rigorous” recognition process. The program examines how well schools and districts follow the website’s 11 Principles of Character Education.

The school will hold the designation for five years.

Sixty-two other schools and three school districts nationwide were honored with the distinction this year.

Character.org is a non-profit that works with school districts to educate, inspire, and empower students to live ethical lives.
