WAYNE, NJ — Power outages and flooding peppered much of North Jersey as Tropical Storm Henri moved through the area, dropping heavy amounts of rain.
In Wayne, officials have already announced road closures related to flooding, and say more is still possible. Meadow Road was closed earlier in the day, and officials announced Monday afternoon that a portion of Ford Street would also be closed due to flooding.

The National Weather Service reports that Wayne saw just over five inches of rain as of 3:45 a.m. on Monday. That likely won't be the last of the rain either, as the New York, New York office of the National Weather Service predicts more showers and thunderstorms in the region, which bring with them a risk of flash flooding.
Those storms are most likely in the afternoon and evening hours, and a flood watch has been issued for the region until 2 a.m. on Tuesday. In Wayne, a flood warning is also in effect from 10 a.m. Monday to 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.
