Unemployed? Local Photographer Will Take Your Headshot For Free

WAYNE, NJ — Across the country, professional photographers will join forces on July 22 to take 10,000 free headshots for unemployed Americans.

At Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, Chris Hietikko will be representing northern New Jersey in the effort.

The initiative is a joint effort from Headshot Booker and Brookfield Properties, the latter of which owns the mall.

From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Hietikko will be at the mall taking headshots. Anyone who is currently unemployed is eligible, but must visit HeadshotBooker.com to schedule a time.

"I have seen entire professional communities disappear due to COVID-19, local businesses having to shut their doors, families losing their income while loved ones struggled to stay alive in the hospital, everyone has a story how this has negatively changed their lives," said Hietikko.

"I am excited and grateful to be a part of this 10,000 Headshots initiative, especially at a time when we need to be looking out for eachother."

The initiative was the idea of Headshot Booker co-founder Tony Taafe and photographers Peter Hurley and Lauren Lieberman, according to a news release. More than 200 photographers will participate.
