Wawa's Grand Opening In Wayne Is Thursday: See Details
Free coffee all day, limited edition t-shirts, and a hoagie-building contest between Wayne's police and fire departments are on the agenda.

WAYNE, NJ — The first Wawa location in Passaic County will open its doors on Thursday in Wayne, welcoming customers in with free t-shirts and cups of coffee at the store on Route 23.
Wawa invites local residents and fans to start gathering at 7:45 a.m. on Dec. 14, before General Manager Giovanny Dominicci counts down to when the doors officially open at 8 a.m. The store, located at 1512 NJ-23, Wayne, NJ, is in the spot where Nagel's Candy Barn used to be.
The first 100 customers through the door will receive a limited edition “Wawa Coffee, Hoagies & Kindness” t-shirts, while supplies last, and are invited to a ribbon-cutting and community toast at 8:30 a.m.

Wawa fans, and new converts to the popular convenience store chain, can even get a photo with mascot Wally Goose, who will be there for the confetti-laden fanfare.
All customers can also enjoy a free coffee on Dec. 14.

As part of Wawa's Hoagies for Heroes program, first responders from Wayne Police Department and Wayne Fire Company will have a friendly competition to see who can assemble the most hoagies in three minutes.
Wawa will present checks for $1,000 to each department’s charity of choice.
This location will employ about 50 people, Wawa said. It is equipped with a kitchen to serve up its signature hoagies, burgers, and other made-to-order food, as well as the Wawa Bakery and a number of specialty beverages, along with coffee, snacks, and beverages.
