'Wayne Is A Destination For Guns' With Gun Range Going Up: Letter

To the editor:
It has happened again, this time at a high school in Florida where preliminary breaking news reports that an individual opened fire with a firearm, killing 17 people, according to reports.
This latest incident follows far too many other incidents where the scourge of firearms have taken a deadly toll over the last 30 years.

And as this plays out in Broward County, Florida, a stand-your-ground state, legislation is working its way through the U.S. Senate that would allow reciprocal inter state concealed carry from anywhere through and to anywhere in the union at will.
Here in Wayne, the sitting mayor and Town Council have remained absolutely neutered and ineffective to find the way to prevent a gun range from setting up shop making Wayne a destination for even more guns.

Thankfully, Governor Phil Murphy has expressed a determination to correct the wrong headed anti-gun vetoes of the last governor and the majority of the voters of New Jersey had the wisdom to carry him to office where his administration has already turned to and meet the threat of loose firearms in the hands of individuals who have absolutely no business having access to deadly weapons whatsoever to begin with.
