Wayne Hills' Amazing Response To Rock Being Defaced

'We fear no spear or paint' was painted over blue paint that covered the sacred rock players touch before heading onto the field.

WAYNE, NJ — Wayne Hills players had an amazing response to their sacred rock being defaced before the team's annual game against Wayne Valley.

The normally maroon and black rock was painted blue — the school color of crosstown rival Wayne Valley — before the teams faced off in their annual game on Saturday. Parents and players discovered the rock had been defaced before the game, NorthJersey.com reported.

Wayne Hills Patriots players touch the rock before every game — even road games — before heading onto the field. The team's senior players' names and numbers are written in white.
