Wayne Police Collecting Toys For Tots

WAYNE, N.J. — The local police union is participating in the annual Toys for Tots drive sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.

It is the seventh year members of PBA Local 136 and the police department are participating in the program.

"Last year's drive was a huge success and we are looking to build upon that and make more children’s dreams come true," said Detective Capt. Laurence Martin.

The department will be collecting new, unwrapped toys beginning Thursday until Dec. 20. There is a particular need for gifts for children 3 to 8 years old.

Toys may be dropped off at the following locations:

• Wayne Police headquarters lobby, 475 Valley Road
• Wayne Public Library (next to the police department)
• Indian Motorcycles of Wayne, 665 Route 23 South

Indian Motorcycles is hosting a photo shoot with Santa Claus, Dec. 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
