Wayne Town Hall Will Be Lit Up Blue For Autism Awareness
The building will be illuminated with blue lights throughout April in support of Autism Awareness Month.

WAYNE, NJ — The township municipal building will be illuminated blue this month for the international Light It Up Blue Autism Awareness campaign.
The building will be illuminated with blue lights in support of Autism Awareness Month. Mayor Chris Vergano and Councilwoman Aileen Rivera will light the building Wednesday at a brief ceremony at 6:30 p.m.
Autism is a term that describes developmental brain disorders, characterized by difficulty interacting and communicating with others.

Statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show that one in 68 children have autism.
"I am hopeful that through increased awareness and advanced treatment, people dealing with autism can live full and productive lives," Mayor Chris Vergano said in a statement. "I encourage all of our residents to participate in this important campaign."
