Tyler Hall won the 95th New Jersey Open Championship by seven strokes Thursday.
Hall birdied four straight holes for a 4-under par performance, and a three-day total of 11-under, to win over the defending champion Max Greyserman, NorthJersey.com reported.
“It’s just great validation to know that I still have it,” Hall told the website, “and I still have a nice career ahead of me as a golfer/teacher/father.”

Hall went into Thursday with a two-shot lead. The four holes he birdied Thursday were late in the round: the 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th, and he missed a birdie putt on the 18th by an inch, the website reported.
“I’ve always been very confident in my ability,” the Wayne Valley graduate told The Record, “but more than anything, my ability to compete and grind. I a lot of people see it different ways. They’re nervous to sleep on a lead. I welcome it.”
