Willowbrook Mall To Undergo Multi-Million Dollar Renovation
Two-year project will result in a redesigned food court, better lighting, a two-story streetscape, and comfortable seating areas.

The Willowbrook Mall will undergo an extensive two-year renovation designed to modernize the facility and make shopping there more enjoyable.
The multi-million dollar renovation includes redesigning the food court, creating a two-story streetscape, and installing charging stations for electronics and comfortable seating areas.
“We are bringing in modern environmental details for our customers from the time they enter the property throughout their shopping trip,” Gilbert Bankston, the mall’s senior general manager said in a statement.

New floors and ceilings will be installed in each wing, lights will be upgraded, and much of the mall will be painted. New signs inside and outside the mall will make it easier to get around.

The redesign comes at the same time the adjacent Wayne Town Center is rebuilt. That property was undeveloped for years until DSW Shoes and several restaurants were constructed along its periphery near Route 23.
Work on the two-year project will begin June 15 and is expected to be complete by the 2016 holiday season.
Willowbrook Mall is owned and managed by General Growth Properties, an S&P 500 company.
