• $1.3B Hudson Tunnel Project contract awarded (equipmentworld.com) — Major construction for the Hudson Tunnel Project will soon link a new rail tunnel directly from an access shaft in Weehawken to Manhattan, with work expected to start in the coming months. Crews will also stabilize ground near Hudson-Bergen Light Rail tracks and reinforce the Willow Avenue Bridge between Weehawken and Hoboken, as part of a $1.3 billion contract within the broader Gateway rail upgrade.
