• Monmouth football opens fall camp with 'purpose' and lots of potential (app.com) — Monmouth University’s football team has opened fall camp in West Long Branch under new head coach Jeff Gallo, with a rebuilt offense but high expectations and a defense rallying after a coach’s sudden death. The turf at Kessler Stadium will be renamed Kevin Callahan Field, honoring the program’s longtime leader as quarterback and position battles, new playmakers, and deeper tight end and defensive units take shape.
   

• Howell Living History Farm Selected for Statewide ‘History Pinned' Program Celebrating New Jersey's Revolutionary Past (mercerme.com) — West Long Branch residents can now visit the new Bruce Springsteen Center for American Music as one of five stops in New Jersey’s “History Pinned” program, which runs through December 20. Participants collect custom pins, earn prizes, and complete small civic activities while exploring Revolutionary-era and cultural history sites across the state, including Camden, Wayne, Lawnside, and Hopewell Township.
   

• Stockton University names news deans for schools of Health Sciences and Business (shorelocalnews.com) — West Long Branch readers may recognize Shannon “Nikki” Clifford, who leaves her acting dean role at Monmouth University in town to become dean of Health Sciences at Stockton University. Alongside new Business School dean Dennis Yu, she’ll help expand health, business, and workforce-focused programs in South Jersey, including a new Stockton‑AtlantiCare College of Community Health in Atlantic City.
