Person Extricated, Hospitalized In 'Serious' South Jersey Crash: Police

At least 3 vehicles were damaged in the overnight crash. Police are seeking witnesses.

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A person was extricated and hospitalized after a "serious" overnight crash that's under investigation in Washington Township, police said Monday.

Multiple vehicles sustained heavy damage from the collision at Route 42 and Berlin-Cross Keys Road. The Washington Township Fire Department extricated an entrapped person, who was brought to Cooper University Hospital In Camden.

The severity of their injuries wasn't immediately clear. Patch contacted authorities with questions and will update with any response.

Photos shared by police show at least three damaged vehicles, including a car on the grass with heavy front-side damage including a shattered windshield and a detached front driver's side door.

The roadway has reopened.
