2 Killed As ATV, Motorcycle Collide In South Jersey: Police

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

VINELAND, NJ — Two people were killed when a motorcycle struck an all-terrain vehicle Saturday night on a Vineland roadway, authorities said.

Police responded to the crash at about 10:25 p.m. around Panther Road and Rita Avenue. The preliminary investigation revealed that Vincent P. Hogan Jr. was operating a motorcycle southbound on Panther Road, when he struck the back of an ATV, which was in the same lane, police said.

Daniel Teapila-Portillo, 26, of Vineland, was operating the ATV, officials said. He and Hogan — a 31-year-old Vineland resident — were pronounced dead at the scene.

It wasn't immediately clear whether the ATV was struck while it was moving or stopped.
