2 More West Deptford Residents Diagnosed With Coronavirus

As of Tuesday, Gloucester County has conducted 7,783 total tests. Of these cases, 6,058 have come back negative and 15 are pending.

WEST DEPTFORD, NJ — Two more West Deptford residents have tested positive for coronavirus, Gloucester County officials announced on Tuesday.

As of Tuesday, Gloucester County has conducted 7,783 total tests. Of these cases, 6,058 have come back negative and 15 are pending. Two cases have been moved out of county.

Gloucester County now has 1,710 cases, including 113 in West Deptford. Trace investigations are underway in all new cases, including those involving a 61-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman from West Deptford.

Six more Gloucester County residents have also died after testing positive for coronavirus, bringing the number of coronavirus deaths in the county to 90. The following information is available about the new deaths.

  • The 85th patient death was a 79-year-old female from Deptford.
  • The 86th patient death was an 88-year-old female from National Park.
  • The 87th patient death was a 75-year-old male from Deptford.
  • The 88th patient death was a 70-year-old male from Deptford.
  • The 89th patient death was an 86-year-old female from Deptford.
  • The 90th patient death was a 59-year-old female from Glassboro.

Officials said the overall threat of coronavirus in Gloucester County remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.
