The bulk of those in the dark are in the Mantua Township area, where schools in the district are also closed.

Multiple downed trees and power lines have left the roads unsafe to the point where local police told residents to avoid traveling on Tuesday night.

School officials said they will reassess Thursday's schedule as cleanup continues.
