Deptford officers responded just after 10 p.m. Sunday to a home on the 700 block of Howard Avenue. Authorities were contacted about an armed man inside the apartment.

Patrol officers tried to speak with the man — later identified as Jackson — but determined that he barricaded the apartment while armed with a pistol. A woman who lives there was still inside, police said.
