Asymptomatic GlouCo Residents Can Be Tested For Coronavirus

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — The coronavirus drive-through testing site at Rowan College of South Jersey will open for a seventh day on June 4, county officials announced on Friday.

Unlike previous testing dates, residents who schedule an appointment for the June 4 testing do not need to be symptomatic, according to officials. Testing will be done by appointment only.

Testing will begin at 10 a.m., and will be done by appointment only. The college is located at 1400 Tanyard Road in Sewell. Scheduling for June 4 began Friday morning.

Gloucester County residents who are 18 years old and older who want to be tested must call the COVID-19 Call Center at 856-218-4142 to be prescreened. The center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Anyone scheduling an appointment must have their insurance information available. Once they are prescreened, an appointment time will be scheduled.

The site is a partnership between Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Josette Palmer of Happy Healthy You Medical Practice, the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders, the Gloucester County Department of Health and the Gloucester County Office of Emergency Management.

The Gloucester County testing site is open to Gloucester County residents only. Proof of residency, such as a passport or driver’s license, is required.
