Docimo Stepping Down As West Deptford Mayor Next Week

The Democrats will choose her successor at an executive committee meeting in mid-December.

Mayor Anna Docimo, who , has just over a week left in her tenure, and will step down effective Dec. 8.

Her fellow Democrats now have to put forth a trio of nominees to replace Docimo, with the selection coming at a Dec. 12 closed meeting of the township party’s executive committee at , as explained in a letter from local party chair Gerald White.

White has previously said Hunter Kintzing and Denice DiCarlo would be likely candidates, but the process will include anyone who submits a letter and resume for consideration.

Docimo said at the announcement of her retirement that the decision came with mixed emotions.

“It may not be a decision that party colleagues wanted to learn, but it is the best decision for me,” she said in her announcement.
