The Massachusetts champs took down Stony Point, NY.

Quincy, MA jumped out early and held on for a 6-0 win over Stony Point, NY, in Quincy’s first-ever appearance at the Senior League Eastern Regional Friday night.

The Massachusetts champs scored twice in the first and tacked on another three runs in the second, as Stony Brook committed an error and misplayed a line drive that turned into a double for Quincy’s Andrew Jaehnig.

Quincy managed just three hits after the first two frames, but the early damage was enough. Madison Barnwell earned the win in 2-2/3 innings of relief work. Tom Garland went 2-for-4 with three runs scored to pace the offense.
