Get Out: Outdoor Shows and Rare Racecars

What better way to spend the weekend then to get out and try something new? This week's Get Out features a variety of musical acts, rare car demonstrations and a wizard's scavenger hunt. So get out there, and find yourself a good time!

WXPN’s XPoNential Music Festival

• Where/When: Wiggins Park & Marina–Mickle Blvd at the River, Camden, NJ. 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, and 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 24.
• What’s Going On: Over
  a dozen artists are set to rock the waterfront over the course of this three day event featuring Keb’ Mo’, Citizen Cope, Queen Electric, Nicos Gun and many more. There will be performances on two different stages and a Kids Corner Garden run by the folks from the Camden Children’s Garden.
• Pricing: 3-Day Festival Pass: WXPN Members - $35, general public - $50 Daily Tickets (Fri - Sun): WXPN Members - $15 per day, general public - $25 per day (reg. $30) Kids ages 2-12 - just $5 per day (anytime) Prices are set to change over time, so check the website.

American Megamotor Racers Demonstration Day

• Where/When: Simeone Foundation–6825-31 Norwitch Drive,
  Philadelphia, PA. Noon on Saturday, July 23.
• What’s Going On: See vintage and modern racecars such as the 1950 Allard J2, 1953 Cunningham C4R, 1963 Corvette Grand Sport, 1966 Ford GT MkII run on a three acre test track
  behind the museum. While you are there, visit the museum to see 60 of the rarest race cars ever built in the world.
• Pricing: $12, seniors- $10, students- $8, children 8 and under are free.

Watson Adventures’ Wizard School Scavenger Hunt: Celebrate Harry Potter

• Where/When: Philadelphia Museum of Art–26^th and
  Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA.
  2 p.m. on Friday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23.
• What’s Going On: Be the best muggle detective ever in this festive scavenger hunt from the acclaimed experts at Watson Adventures! Find powerful sorcerers, hunt down a
  potions master, giants, owls and dragons! This event is designed for groups of adults and children and groups of all adults will play separately.

Almost Fab

• Where/When: James G. Atkinson Memorial Park–Delsea Dr. and Bethel Mill Rd. Delsea, NJ. 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 24
• What’s Going On: Rock your night away with the next best thing to the Beatles- Almost Fab! This Delaware Valley Beatles tribute group covers a wide range of material from the fab four.
  Bring a lawn chair or blanket to this free show!

Friday Main Stage

• Where/When: Barrington Coffee House–131 Clements Bridge Rd. Barrington, NJ. 8 to 10 p.m. on Friday, July 22.
• What’s Going On: Four string instruments are better than one! At least that is what you will get with local artists the Jersey Boomers! Their sound ranges from that of the Kingston
  Trio to Johnny Cash and more! After the Boomers comes The Angry Old Men, a duo of local musicians set to fill the place with music.
