Get Out: Patriot Day Weekend

Patriot Day Ceremony

• Where/When: Chestnut Branch Park- Main St. in Mantua. 8 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11.
• What's Going On: Honor the lives of the fallen heroes of 9/11 at this ceremony. A brief flagpole demonstration will begin at 8:15 and the Clearview Regional High School's Choir will perform during the ceremonies.
• Pricing: none

Patriots Day Concert

• Where/When: World Cafe Live- 3025 Walnut St. Philadelphia, PA. Noon-4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11.

• What's Going On: Four singer/songwriters of varying styles will perform this Patriots Day to raise money for local veterans. Proceeds from this all ages event will go to benefit the Philadelphia Veterans Multi-Service & Education Center (PVMSEC). 

• Pricing: $21 a ticket

Mushroom Festival

• Where/When: Historic Kennett Square— 600 Broad St. Kennett Square, PA. 6-11 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9. 3-11 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10 and 1-6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11.

• What's Going On: Come celebrate our favorite fungi foodie in Pennsylvania, the World's Mushroom Capital! Features of the festival include live cooking demonstrations, a mushroom themed art silent auction, live music, and old fashioned carnival, children's entertainment and more!

• Pricing: $2

Over the River and Through the Woods

• Where/When: The Broadway Theatre of Pitman—43 S. Broadway, Pitman. 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9 and Saturday, Sept. 10. 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11.

• What's Going On: This heartwarming comedy is centered around a charismatic Italian-American family that tries to get their grandson, Nick, to stay in Jersey rather than pursue his dream job. This award winning play is written by Joe DiPietro.
• Pricing: $25 plus processing fees.
