A coronavirus drive-through testing site will be set up for Wednesday in Gloucester County, officials announced.

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — Gloucester County will stage a coronavirus drive-through testing site on Wednesday, county officials announced on Monday. The site will be set up at Rowan College of South Jersey, 1400 Tanyard Road in Sewell, by appointment only. Information on additional testing dates will come at a later time, officials said.
“Testing will be provided for symptomatic residents at a crucial point in our fight against COVID-19,” Gloucester County Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said. “I'm grateful for the bravery of our local health care professionals who are on the front lines as they work to slow the spread of the virus and save lives.”

“We all have to work together to face COVID-19 and respond to the outbreak,” Freeholder Jim Jefferson, liaison the Gloucester County Department of Health, said. “It was very important to all of us to open this site and give residents access to testing. This testing site combined with social distancing, I believe, will help us beat COVID-19.”
Residents 18 and older with symptoms of the new coronavirus must call 856-218-4142 to be pre-screened. Residents must have their insurance information available when they call. Once pre-screening is complete, an appointment time will be scheduled. Anyone without symptoms will not be eligible for testing.
“We are proud to partner with these remarkable local healthcare providers as well as our premier educational partner, Rowan University, to open this testing site,” Gloucester County Freeholder Lyman Barnes, liaison to the Department of Education, said. “Gloucester County residents have done such a great job responding to the public health crisis by remaining home, social distancing and following CDC recommendations. Testing marks at giant leap forward in our efforts to combat this virus.”
