Gloucester County Updates Coronavirus Testing Schedule

Testing will take place two days a week beginning Jan. 12, Gloucester County officials said Thursday morning.

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — Gloucester County is cutting down on the number of coronavirus-testing days beginning next week, officials announced Thursday morning.

Testing will take place two days a week beginning Jan. 12, according to Gloucester County officials. It currently runs five days a week. No reason was given for the change in schedule.

It will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, by appointment only, through February. The sites will open daily at 9 a.m. at the following locations:

Anyone who wants to be tested can call 856-218-0300 to be prescreened by Rowan Medicine. When calling, choose option #1 for Family Medicine then press #1 again to make an appointment. Callers must have their insurance information available. Residents don’t have to be symptomatic to get tested.

Call takers will be available:

  • Monday and Thursday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. to noon

The site is a partnership between Gloucester County, Rowan University and Rowan Medicine, the Gloucester County Department of Health, and the Gloucester County Office of Emergency Management.
