Government Office Building Catches Fire In South Jersey
The cause of the fire, which spread heavy flames through the building, is under investigation.
HARRISON TOWNSHIP, NJ — The office building for a South Jersey town's wastewater-treatment plant was heavily damaged in a fire on Monday night.
Multiple people reported the fire around 7 p.m. at the building on 35 Woodland Ave. in Harrison Township.
The single-story facility, which resembles a house, is an office building for the Harrison Township Wastewater Department.

Heavy flames stretched across the small facility. The fire was placed under control within 30 minutes, according to Harrison Township Fire District #1.
The office was unoccupied during the fire, according to Mayor Adam Wingate. No injuries were reported.

"At this time, the cause of the fire is unknown," Wingate said Monday night in a statement. "An investigation is currently underway by the Gloucester County Fire Marshal's Office to determine the origin and circumstances surrounding the incident."
The office building is located right by Harrison Township's wastewater-treatment plant.
