Grab and Go Family Planner: Dinosaurs, Safaris and Outdoor Fun

Spend a little time this weekend with the family at an old fashioned car show, late night safari, multi-cultural reading party, or 4-H fair.

We're down to the last month of the summer! Bring the whole family to any one of these festive events.

Dino Tales

Where/When: Garden State Discovery Museum–2040 Springdale Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ. 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 6.
What’s Going On: Dino Tales, part of the Discovery Museum’s Summer Series, brings dinosaur themed twists to familiar stories in honor of the museum’s Dinosaurium opening in the Fall. Sing along with the Three Little Triceratops, laugh with Goldilocks and the Three Velociraptors and more.
Pricing: Admission is $10.95 for adults and children 12 months and over $9.95 for seniors.

Sunset Safari

Where/When: The Philadelphia Zoo–3400 W. Girard Ave.,
Philadelphia, PA. 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 6.
What’s Going On: Take advantage of the Summer weather at the Philadelphia Zoo. Stay late and learn about the nocturnal animals of the zoo and their eating habits, and see a special “Zoo on Wheels” presentation.
Pricing: Free with admission of $18 for adults and $15 for children ages 2 to 11. Children under age 2 are free.

Camden County 4-H Fair

Where/When: Gloucester County 4-H Fairgrounds–275 Bridgeton Pike, Mullica Hill, NJ. 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday, August 7.
What’s Going On: Watch as local youth artists, botanists, and lovers of many outdoor activities show off their best work to be judged. See local art, food vendors, a ladies skillet toss, a pet show and much more! Other dates and events this weekend TBA.

Classic Car Showoff and Lights Out

Where/When: Lindenwold Park–1000 United States Ave., Lindenwold, NJ. 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 6.
What’s Going On: Take a walk through one of the best parts of American history be viewing it’s classic cars! And when you are finished, stick around for the Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons tribute show by the band Lights Out.

End of Summer Reading Party

Where/When: Logan Township Public Library- 498 Beckett Rd., Logan Township, NJ. 11a.m. to noon on Friday, August 5.
What’s Going On: Celebrate the end of Summer and other cultures with the folks at Logan Township Library. Try
cuisines, make a craft or play a game from different countries around the world. Registration is necessary for this event.
