Mother’s Day Concert with Meg Russell

  • Where/When: Garden State Discovery Museum–2040 Springdale Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ. Events begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 7.
  • What’s Going On: Celebrate Mother’s Day with events run by two very gifted mothers. Singer/songwriter Meg Russell will entertain you with her interactive playful music as she makes her first performance at the Garden State Discovery Museum to honor moms everywhere! But before the show mother Rosie Hymerling will engage the whole family with teddy bear themed stories and crafts.
  • Pricing: Free with admission: $10.95 for adults and children 12 months and older, $9.95 for seniors.

Mother’s Day at the Camden Adventure Aquarium

  • What’s Going On: Check out sharks, hippos and the 4-D theater on Mother’s Day and all moms will receive “Thanks for All You Do!” flowers. What better way to celebrate Mother’s Day than to see mothers of all kinds including zany African penguins!
  • Pricing: Admission is $22.95 for adults, $17.95 for children (ages 2-12)

  • What’s Going On:  Teens from “the country's preeminent Rock Music School for children 7 to 17, ” according to The Washington Post, will be regaling parents with a series of rock songs designed to honor moms everywhere. Make sure to check out the nostalgic record store after to find mom’s favorite album.

Mother’s Day at Camden Children’s Garden

  • Where/When: Camden Children’s Garden–3 Riverside Rd., Camden, NJ. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday, May 8.
  • What’s Going On: Visit the Cityscapes Garden, the Potting Shed, the Arrow River Train and many more festive attractions this Mother’s Day. But unlike every other Sunday of the year, mothers ride free!
  • Pricing: $6 per person, except for children under the age of 2 and mothers are FREE!

Monkey Madness!

  • Where/When: The Philadelphia Zoo–3400 W. Girard Ave., Philadelphia, PA. Events for ages 2-3 at 10 a.m. and events for ages 4-6 at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 7.
  • What’s Going On: Find all about everyone’s favorite primates! Take part in animal-themed programs with sing-alongs, getting up close and personal, and activities designed for early learners and their favorite caregiver.
  • Pricing: Zoo members: $14, non-members: $28.
