Input Needed From Gloucester County’s Senior Citizens, Older Residents

Find out how it can be provided and why it is needed, below.

WOODBURY, NJ – The Gloucester County Division of Services said it wants to hear from senior citizens and older residents within the county.

The input will help the division update its 3-year plan/contract and assist that division in coordinating “a service delivery system designed to identify and prioritize the needs of senior citizens,” according to a meeting notice.

This contract provides funding for a variety of programs targeted toward older adults and senior citizens, the meeting notice said. Sources of the funding include the Older Americans Act, Social Services Block Grant, Safe Housing and Transportation Programs and the State of New Jersey, the meeting notice continued.

There are two ways Gloucester County’s senior citizens and older residents can give their input on the plan, the notice said.

Such residents can attend a Public Hearing being held at the Deptford Senior Center Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. or they can mail written testimony to the Executive Director of Gloucester County’s Division of Senior Services in West Deptford.
