With the heat index pushing toward 110 or higher, tonight's 10-11 all-star game between National Park and West Deptford at the Deptford Little League complex has been moved back two hours to an 8 p.m. start. League officials juggled the schedule Friday morning to avoid playing in the worst part of the heat wave, shifting as many games back to an 8 p.m. start as possible and pushing others to the weekend. The Major squad will also play at 8 p.m. down in Northfield against Cherry Hill American, with a shot at a rematch against Erial in the championship game on the line. West Deptford's Senior League all-stars, who were originally scheduled to take the field against South Harrison at 8 p.m., will now get a free pass into the elimination round after South Harrison forfeited. The Senior Leaguers will face the second-place team in the opposing pool on Wednesday at West Deptford, though that opponent might not be determined until Monday night.
